For my media studies A2 coursework, we have been set the requirement of making a promotional package of a film poster, film magazine front cover and a film trailer, advertising a new and upcoming film in the horror genre. The three key pieces will be utilised to market the film to a specific target audience therefore gaining an excellent response to the media product being promoted. To create a professional promotional package I will follow the codes and conventions of film posters, film magazines and film trailers. By researching and analysing the three types of media mentioned, I will gain overall understanding of the key conventions used. I look forward to developing my practical skills in this project and I set out to create three media pieces with new and innovative ideas which will excite my target audience.
