Pitch Feedback
Target audience feedback
The feedback I gained from my peers was insightful and helped highlight areas of my plot and planning that needed to be altered. It also made me reflect on the areas that I have to film after considering that I cant film within Highgate cemetery itself I have to brainstorm on new location ideas that will fit into my storyline. Although my teacher praised my plotline for its originality she highlighted her concerns about how well I would be able to replicate scenes from the 1970’s, i.e from mise en scene and the limitations for filming in certain places without modern design technology or cars in the surroundings, making it difficult for my footage to seem genuine. I also needed to research into spfx makeup to make my vampire appear genuine. Moreover I had to add further plot details to make the plot more detailed and intriguing to my audience. I also learnt I had to do further research into the vampire genre as I didn’t have much background knowledge on it as in class we had mainly focused on Slasher, Supernatural and the psychological genres I had to go and investigate the codes and conventions of the genre independently. I further came to the conclusion that I would have to make the film set in modern times, with this decision I decided to film it in a documentary style.
